Photography
Before and After
“This project had the goal of encapsulating the process and the evolution that I can add to a photo when I edit it. There are two sets of pictures. In the first one, I used color correction to give more life to it. By increasing the contrast and making many more adjustments, it transformed the color from a plain and boring scene to an interesting fall scenery where you can see the depth and feel the texture within the image. In the second image, I took a photo on vacation in Amsterdam and added a tilt-shift effect to make it look as if everything was miniature. I also did some color correction on it, but nothing too extravagant, only enough so you can better distinguish the elements of the decor. I then went into Photoshop and added a blur that made the image look as if it was taken with a tilt-shift lens. The effect is accomplished, especially if you look at the borders of the image; you can clearly think of it as a miniature recreation.”
